Welcome everyone. Thank you for checking out my web site. This is my online blog where I will share stories, news, articles and personal experiences on the gluten free diet and recipes. If you have your own stories or recipes I would love for you to tell me. Include photos, videos, and anything that you have!
Well I am almost there! I am experimenting with a bunch of different recipes, but the time it takes to do an all raw menu if you want "gourmet" style meals it could be a part time job! I have mostly fruit shakes in the early am, around 10 or so an apple, lunch is usually a salad and then dinner is where I experiment on different recipes. My weight loss has slowed down, in total I am down around 9-10 pounds. Personally I think its slowing down because I feel I may be eating too many nuts and drinking organic wine (which is allowed!)This week I am going to work on the nuts and wine :)
Hello again,
Going 100% raw is not the easiest diet in the world to follow! Basically it can be easy if you just eat fruit and vegatables without doing too much to them, however if you want actual "meals" a lot of the raw food recipes in my opinion just take a lot of time.Me being as busy as I am, I really enjoy easier, quick recipes. Don't get me wrong there are a bunch of easy raw food recipes but for certain meals like "raw tacos" which are I might say "AWESOME" there is about 4 to 5 different recipes just to make this one meal!
As for the weakness I was feeling in the first week, it was totally my body adjusting and going thru a detox. I am still going through the detox but I did have to eat about two cooked meals (totally gluten free and healty) just because I really felt weak and that I needed this to carry on and boy did those meals help at the time!1/2 way there, just 15 more days to go!
Today is day 6 of 30 days of my raw food diet. I am having fun making new recipes and trying new foods and also really excited because I dropped 9 pounds! The positives are the weight loss and my mental clarity is better. The negatives are I am going through ups and down with my energy level. Sometimes I feel like I could run a marathon but some times I am feeling so weak I can't walk up the stairs.I miss hot foods. And also many raw food recipes have so many steps just to make one dish. For a lot of them you have to actually plan your meals early in the day if you have to soak nuts for a recipes for six hours or dehydrate something for a while.I am focusing on the big picture of health though here. I know I will feel better soon. I am eating a good balance of protein from the nuts and trying to make the most simple recipes possible.24 more days to go...
Hello everyone,I just started a 30 all raw food diet experiment yesterday. To make a long story short, the reason is because I have gained some of my weight back by not being faithful to me gluten free diet 100% for the past few months. I have had some personal issues arise and gave into some food temptions when in the end made me feel worse. My entire goal with this is not only wight loss, because I know I can lose weight by sticking to my gluten free diet, but also for focus, drive and even more energy than. I read a lot about all different kinds of diets and the raw diet intrigues me because of spirtual reasons as well. I hear the longer you do it the better you feel both physically, mentally and spirtually.I not saying I am going to commit to 100% raw for the rest of my life, but I sure am for 30 days!Yesterday my first day on 100% raw was not bad at all. I ordered lunch from a raw restaurant but everything else I made at home with a dehydraytor, juicer and blender. I have to admit it was fun but its a lot of prep work thus far.Today is day 2 on my 30 all raw diet experiment and I woke up with w screaming headache. I think its because I just cut off my coffee too and probably my body starting to throw out toxins.I am excited about today though, I already threw some zucchini on the dehydrator so I will have zucchinin chips ready after work (hopefully!) and I am really excited to make a mexican raw pizza tonight!Oh and so far I lost 2.5 pounds and even though its probably "water weight" its getting me motivated!
